On May 13th, 2024 our University was visited by the adviser of the Iranian-Russian Center for Inter-University Cooperation in the Russian Federation and CIS countries, Abbas Ali Gakhari.
The meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere. Rector of the University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, S.F. Bagnenko welcomed the participants and emphasized that our university strives to train high-level doctors, and also experts on Russia with knowledge of the national traditions of our country and the Russian language. Currently, due to the large number of people wishing to study at our university, admission of applicants is limited - the number of applicants from each country should not exceed 20% of the total number of foreign students accepted for study.
Mr. Gakhari noted that Pavlov University is well known in Iran, distinguished by high entry requirements and a good level of training for doctors. Currently, many Iranian citizens strive to study in the Russian Federation and enter medical universities in our country. At the same time, the Iranian-Russian Center for Inter-University Cooperation operates in Iran, where they prepare applicants for admission to Russian universities, including medical ones. They study the Russian language and Russian culture.
Following the meeting, it was proposed to prepare a protocol of intentions in order to improve the quality of selection of applicants from Iran, giving preference to those who know the Russian language well.
In conclusion, S.F. Bagnenko presented the memorable souvenirs with the symbols of the university.
