Tehran Medical University is the leading medical University in the Middle East and includes 11 faculties, more than one hundred research centers, 16 university clinics with 5800 beds. Representatives of this University came to discuss potential cooperation - Vice-Rector for Global Strategies and International Affairs Ramin Cordi, Head of International Cooperation Alireza Namazi, Dean of the Medical Faculty Shahriyar Nafisi and Dean of Pharmacy Faculty of Mohammad Sharifzade.

From Russian side the meeting was attended by Rector,  Professor S.F. Bagnenko, Vice-Rector for International Relations, Professor A.N. Yaitsky,Vice-Rector for Educational Work, Professor A.A. Potapchuk,  Head of the Department of International Relations S.Y. Borovets,

The guests were shown a video in English about Pavlov First St.Petersburg State Medical University. Iranian colleagues were interested in the process of education for foreign students in our University. The Iranian side made a presentation about Tehran Medical University. Representatives of the largest medical institutions discussed the following issues: how to organize cooperation in the field of scientific research, how to exchange experience in the education of specialists in the field of sports medicine, hematology and oncology. The parties exchanged contact information and souvenirs.

University guests went to the Department of Medical Rehabilitation and Adaptive Physical Education, where they visited all classrooms, gyms and the swimming pool. After that delegation went to Raisa Gorbacheva Memorial Research Institute of Children Oncology, Hematology and Transplantation.

After official meeting the leading translator of the department of External Relations Victoria Gavrilina gave a guided tour in English for guests from Iran. Excursion was held in “Anatomical Hermitage” (exhibition of clinical anatomy department).
