On July 29, a certificate award ceremony was held for participants in the 2026 IFMSA Summer Internship Program. This summer, five medical students (three from Armenia and two from Turkey) participated in the student exchange program, completing clinical internships in the departments of hematology, emergency surgery, and traumatology under the supervision of University staff.
Professor Sergey Anatolyevich Karpishchenko, Vice-Rector for International Relations, delivered a welcoming speech. He encouraged the students to travel as much as possible and exchange knowledge with international colleagues, citing his personal experience and an extensive planned program of visits to Armenia and Turkey, the countries the students represent. Vice-Rector for Educational Work Alla Askoldovna Potapchuk congratulated the students on the opportunity to visit St. Petersburg and expand their clinical and cultural horizons.
Following this, the certificates were presented and a commemorative photo was taken.
