On October 17, a Chinese delegation from Xuzhou Medical University, led by Vice-Rector Liu Shenjun, visited our University. The visit was organized with the participation of the Russian-Chinese Foundation for Education and Science Development, represented by Secretary General Cui Fan. On the Russian side, the delegation was hosted by representatives of the University administration: Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Professor A.I. Yaremenko, Acting Vice-Rector for International Relations Professor S.Yu. Borovets, Dean of the Faculty of International Students S.V. Matyushechkin, Vice-Dean V.A.Gavrilina. The purpose of the meeting was to introduce our university to Chinese colleagues and establish bilateral cooperation in scientific and educational matters. The event was held in a friendly atmosphere, and guests were shown a video about our University in English. Mr. Liu Shenjun told the history of Xuzhou Medical University and noted its leadership in China in dentistry and anesthesiology. A.I. Yaremenko expressed interest in collaborating in dentistry and developing cellular technologies. S.Yu. Borovets explained that a memorandum of understanding is a necessary first step for cooperation with foreign partners. S.V. Matyushechkin was talking about the educational process for foreign citizens at University. Plans are underway to explore the possibility of organizing student exchange programs in the form of summer schools.
The parties exchanged contact information and souvenirs. A tour of the anatomy museum was organized for the guests, led by V.A. Gavrilina, Leading Interpreter of the Department of External Relations and Development.
