On a frosty December evening, the Philharmonic Hall was warm and cozy: the guests were warmed by the feeling of a long-awaited holiday - especially since last year the pandemic postponed the beautiful tradition of the University.
The Rector of the University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Sergei Fedorovich Bagnenko greeted the guests with a welcoming speech. Vice-Governor of St. Petersburg Oleg Nikolaevich Ergashev congratulated the University on the 124th anniversary.
The gala-lecture "Medical Immunology: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow" was given by the Head of the Department of Immunology, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Areg Artemovich Totolyan.
A festive concert took place after the official ceremony of the Gala Day. The " Bis-Kvit" group under the direction of Andrey Antipov performed musical New Year program for the guests.
