The international rating agency Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) has released a subject ranking of the best universities in the world, QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024. Five Russian medical universities are included in the Life Sciences & Medicine subject subcategory.
Pavlov University ranked 351th in the “medicine” category.
The QS World University Rankings by Subject have been compiled since 2004. Initially, it was published in collaboration with the Times Higher Education (THE) magazine, but since 2010 the ranking has been published independently of THE.
In 2024, 1,559 universities were included in the ranking; three new criteria were introduced to evaluate them. Thus, QS compiled the ranking based on nine indicators: academic reputation (30%), reputation among employers (15%), student-teacher ratio (10%), academic citations (20%), faculty diversity (5%) , student diversity (5%), sustainability (5%), graduate employability (5%) and academic collaboration (5%).
