Gaziantep is the largest trade and industrial center in the west of Southeast Turkey. Gaziantep University is one of the largest universities in Turkey. It has 20 faculties, more than 50 thousand students, including 3,000 foreign students.
The visit was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere and was of an introductory nature. Vice-Rector for International Relations, Professor S.A. Karpishchenko, spoke about the existing scientific contacts with Turkey and expressed interest in developing Russian-Turkish cooperation. Head of the International Relations Department, Professor S.Yu. Borovets, clarified that at present, international agreements are concluded only after coordination with the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
It is planned to consider the possibility of signing a cooperation agreement with the implementation of academic mobility of students.
The parties exchanged contact information. The guests were given the souvenirs with the University's symbols.
A special tour in the anatomy museum "Anatomical Hermitage" was organized for the guests, which was conducted by the leading interpreter of the Department of External Relations and Development V.A. Gavrilina.
