Representives from Russian side were Vladimir Vladimirovich Murashkin, Director of the Russian House in Hanoi, and Andrey Borodenko, his deputy. Pavlov University was represented by Sergey Anatolyevich Karpishchenko, Vice-Rector for International Relations, and Victoria Aleksandrovna Gavrilina, Deputy Dean of the Faculty for International Students and Leading Interpreter. Representatives of Vietnamese side were: Dang Quang Tan, Head of the International Cooperation Department of the Vietnamese Ministry of Health, and Professor Nguyen Huu Tu, Rector of Hanoi Medical University.
The parties discussed prospects for developing bilateral cooperation in the medical and educational fields. The meeting participants highly valued the potential for collaboration and noted shared approaches to medical training. The important role of the Russian House in Hanoi as a platform for developing interuniversity cooperation was particularly emphasized. Vladimir Murashkin confirmed his readiness to provide comprehensive support for the implementation of joint educational and scientific projects.
On September 11, S.A. Karpishchenko and V.A. Gavrilina visited two major medical institutions in Vietnam: the Central Otorhinolaryngology Hospital and the Hong Ngoc - Phuc Truong Minh General Hospital. The delegation was warmly welcomed by the hospital directors and key staff. The parties discussed research collaboration, professional exchange, and healthcare development aimed at improving the quality of diagnostics, treatment, and professional training.
On September 12, at the Russian House in Hanoi, members of the Russian delegation gave lectures to potential medical students, medical college students and physicians. Some of them had studied in the Soviet Union and later in the Russian Federation. The event raised great interest among the participants.
In a few months, Victoria Aleksandrovna Gavrilina will host the first group of schoolchildren from Vietnam on a career-guidance tour of the unique "Anatomical Hermitage" exhibition at the Pavlov University. A visit by a delegation of Vietnamese healthcare representatives to our University is planned for October.
A beautiful conclusion to the business program in Vietnam was an event attended by the Ministers of Health of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Vietnam. Potential cooperation in healthcare between the two countries was discussed at the highest level.
