On October 16, 2023, a delegation from Samarkand State Medical University visited our University.
The delegation’s visit was organized as part of academic mobility, in accordance with the Memorandum of Cooperation with Samarkand State Medical University. Uzbek guests undergo an internship at the therapy department with a course in endocrinology, cardiology with the clinic named after acad.G.F. Lang.
Rector S.F. Bagnenko noted that during the Great Patriotic War, the evacuated Leningrad Military Medical Academy was located on the basis of the Samarkand State Medical University during 1942-1944 years.
Head of the Department of Internal Medicine N.3 in Samarkand State Medical University, Professor Shodikulova G.Z., noted the continuity of generations, since her son is currently studying at our University.
Details of further cooperation and implementation of academic mobility of students and teaching staff were discussed.
The parties exchanged souvenirs.
