On the day of the celebration, our University became the venue for an off-site meeting of the Association "Council of Rectors of Medical and Pharmaceutical Higher Educational Institutions".
The official part of the solemn celebration of the 125th anniversary was opened with a welcoming speech by the Rector of the University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Sergei Fedorovich Bagnenko and congratulations from the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Vladimirovich Mishustin and Deputy Chief of Staff of the Government of the Russian Federation Olga Vladimirovna Krivonos.
Government awards were presented by Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Tatyana Vladimirovna Semyonova. The Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Tatyana Alekseevna Golikova and the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Albertovich Murashko also congratulated our University with anniversary.
Governor of St. Petersburg Alexander Dmitrievich Beglov delivered a welcoming speech.
Many awards were given to the outstanding doctors during this gala-event.
At the end of the solemn celebration, a concert was performed by the Honored Collective of Russian Academic Symphony Orchestra of the St. Petersburg Academic Philharmonia,named after D.D. Shostakovich, under the direction of Nikolai Alekseev.
