On June 18, 2024, with the participation of the Health Committee of the Government of St. Petersburg, a meeting with representatives of the Samarkand State Medical University, headed by its Rector Zhasur Alimdzhanovich Rizaev, was organized at our University. At the beginning of the meeting, the guests were shown a video about our University, dedicated to its 125th anniversary.
Yu. S. Polushin greeted the guests on behalf of the Rector of our University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor S. F. Bagnenko. Briefly he spoke about the main directions of scientific work of the University, and also focused on the organization of anesthesiology and resuscitation services.
S. A. Karpishchenko,Vice-Rector for International Affairs, noted that international cooperation with state scientific, educational and clinical organizations of Uzbekistan is currently intensively developing within the framework of bilateral agreements, and the number of jointly organized events is growing, in particular in the field of otorhinolaryngology.
S. Yu. Borovets noted that in recent years a large number of new agreements have been signed with leading uiversities and clinical centers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which has contributed to a significant expansion of bilateral cooperation.
The parties exchanged souvenirs. After this, an interesting and educational excursion to "Anatomical Hermitage" of our University was organized , which was conducted by the leading interpreter of the Department of External Relations and Development V. A. Gavrilina.
