On April 3, 2024, an organizational meeting was held with an online broadcast of the preparatory department for foreign citizens (both online and offline). Students of the full-time preparatory department were in room N.5, students of the remote preparatory department were connected to the online broadcast of the meeting.
The event was attended by more than 200 foreign students from 26 countries: Algeria, Belarus, Benin, Egypt, Yemen, Israel, India, Iraq, Iran, Kazakhstan, Cameroon, China, Colombia, Lebanon, Morocco, Nigeria, Palestine, Peru, Saudi Arabia , Syria, Sudan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ecuador, Sri Lanka.
Rector of our University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor S.F. Bagnenko performed a welcoming speech. He noted the importance of preparing foreign students at the preparatory department for admission to Pavlov University, especially the study of the Russian language for further education at the University. In addition, foreign students do not only study various subjects, but also learn the history and culture of Russia. The opening speech was made by the Advisor to the Rector for International Relations, Head of the Department of Urology, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor S.Kh. Al-Shukri. He spoke about teaching foreign students at the University, about his work as Vice-Rector for international relations for 27 years, about famous foreign graduates and international relations of Pavlov University. Also, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Foreign Students, Professor S.V. Matyushechkin, made an introductory speech to foreign students. Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Foreign Students Ph.D. K.A. Khmelnitskaya made a presentation on the topic “Admission of foreign citizens to the 1st year in 2024. Admission Rules”. The Head of the Russian language department N. 2, associate professor, A.O. Vlasova spoke in detail about the features and structure of the entrance exams. Head of the department of general and bioorganic chemistry, professor K.N. Semyonov also shared the details of entrance exam process in chemistry. The head of the international relations department, professor, doctor of medical sciences, S.Yu. Borovets spoke about the rules for issuing invitations for study visas for foreign citizens. Head of the Visa and Registration Department O.A.Vetrova answered current questions about the extension of study visas for foreign students of the preparatory department, about the rules for obtaining study visas, taking into account current legislative norms. Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Foreign Students, Ph.D, V.A. Gavrilina, who is also leading interpreter of University, was translating the main highlights of meeting. The meeting was held in two languages - Russian and English. The online broadcast was organized by the Information Technology Support Department under the leadership of E.A. Korobenkov.
